Small Winter Wedding at Creativo Loft

Wedding Pictures, WeddingsWedding Creativo Photography

Brooke and Craig traveled from Michigan to celebrate their December wedding in Chicago.  Their morning brunch wedding at Creativo Loft was the kick-off for their New Year's Eve wedding day.  Bride Brooke chose blush, silver and gold tones for their powder-snow winter day.  The groom's family lives in Scotland, so a small gathering of the bride's side welcomed him to his new family in America.

Despite the chilly temperatures, Wedding Creativo photographer Giorgio and the couple went around to a few downtown Chicago landmarks for some beautifully snowy wedding portraits.  We coordinated an all-inclusive brunch wedding for the intimate group at our studio's own venue, Creativo Loft, including a delicious red velvet cake from Tipsycakes and adorable floral work from Steve's Flower Market.  Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!

Small Breakfast Wedding at Creativo Loft

Misty and Frank celebrated their marriage in March, just a few days shy of the first day of spring.  It was a chilly day, but these troopers went out for some classic Chicago landmark portraits before joining their family and children at Creativo Loft for a morning ceremony and breakfast.  This marriage not only was the joining of a bride and groom, but also the blending of a new family with their children.  Congratulations to the newlyweds and their family!

Lisa and Ben's Retro 40s Style Wedding

1940s Vintage Style Wedding at John Hancock Center - Images by Wedding Creativo

A Sunday brunch was the setting for Lisa and Ben's wedding atop the John Hancock Building.  This creative couple went with a 1940s era feel, with the bride's cute short dress, "something blue" vintage-style shoes, and matching cocktail hat.   Ben had a complimentary Mad Men look to his sharp slate gray groom's suit.

Something I'll always remember about this wedding was when we all started to sing for the processional.   There was a bit of a glitch with the sound system just as Lisa was linked arm-in-arm with her dad. So when the waiting became prolonged, we all started to sing "going to the chapel and we're gonna get married"  (The Dixie Cups "Chapel of Love").  It was a lovely moment with everyone participating in the impromptu serenade as the bride finally got to make that walk to meet her groom.  Things like this usually have a way of working out, so it was a great example of a couple who could laugh and just enjoy whatever happened on their wedding day.

Anita Vaughan officiated a heartfelt ceremony, which was customized with readings that expressed Ben and Lisa's personalities and unconventional style.

The brunch was followed by a casual afternoon after-party at a small Ukranian Village bar.  On the way we took some creative portraits with the newlyweds as we headed in a cab across town.
